FAQ

Questions, answered.

Are you a direct lender?

No. First Source Lending is a broker. We work with a network of third-party lenders, lessors, and funding companies. The provider you choose makes the final decision and sets the terms.

Will applying hurt my credit?

No. Pre-qualification uses a soft inquiry. A lender may run a hard inquiry only if you choose to move forward with a specific offer.

How fast can I get funded?

Working capital often funds in 24–48 hours after approval. Equipment typically takes a few days. Bridge and fix & flip loans can close in 2–3 weeks; larger commercial loans in 30–60 days.

What's the difference between revenue-based funding and a loan?

Revenue-based funding (a merchant cash advance) is the purchase of a portion of your future sales, not a loan, and payments flex with your revenue. A term loan has fixed payments and an interest rate. We explain the total cost of each so you can compare directly.

Should I lease or finance equipment?

Financing means you own it and build equity. Leasing keeps upfront cost and payments lower and makes upgrades easier. Tax treatment differs, so check with your accountant. We'll quote both.

Do you finance homes I live in?

No. Real estate financing is for investment and commercial property only. We don't arrange mortgages on owner-occupied homes.

Do you charge fees?

Never to apply or receive offers. Any broker compensation is paid at closing and disclosed to you in writing before you sign.

Your next move is one application away.

No cost to apply. A funding specialist reviews every request personally, usually the same day.
